Arizona Travel Data

This report describes the economic impacts of travel to and through Arizona and each of its 15 counties over the time period 1998 to 2006. The estimates for 2006 are preliminary. The primary focus of this report is on the impacts generated by overnight visitors (including domestic and international visitors traveling for either business or leisure). Statewide estimates of employment and earnings are also provided for total direct travel (which includes day trips, travel services, and air passenger travel not related to visitors). A primary objective of this research is to provide reliable, detailed figures that allow comparisons from year-to-year for the state and county levels.
