The Economic Impact of Travel on Texas, 1990-2007

This report describes the direct economic impacts of travel to and within the state of Texas and each of its 254 counties from 1990 through 2007. The 2007 estimates are preliminary and may be slightly adjusted when original data sources are revised. Detailed breakouts of travel impacts are provided for 1994 through 2007 at the state level, the seven tourism regions, the twenty-seven Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSA) within the state. A primary objective of this research is to provide reliable, detailed figures that allow comparisons from year-to-year for the state and county levels.
