2008 State and County Travel Impacts

This report describes the direct economic impacts of travel to and through the state of Nebraska and each of its 93 counties from 1993 through 2008. Preliminary estimates for 2008 are provided at the State level only. These findings show the level of travel spending by those traveling to and through the state, and the impact this spending has on the economy in terms of earnings, employment and tax revenue. A primary objective of this research is to provide reliable, detailed figures that allow comparisons from year-to-year for the state and county levels.
