2008 State and County Travel Impacts

The purpose of this study is to document the economic significance of the travel industry in the state of West Virginia and each of its fifty-five counties from 2000 to 2008. This report provides detailed estimates of travel spending, the employment and earnings generated by this spending, and travel-generated tax receipts. A primary objective of this research is to provide reliable, detailed estimates, which allow comparisons from year-to-year for the state and county levels.
